General notes:
- The parade will form up at the Hutto Middle School on Exchange Blvd. with check in starting at 8:30am. The parade route is approximately one mile in length.
- Parade will begin at 10:00am
- Restroom facilities will be available but they are limited.
- We also expect to have an antique car show at the old CoOp on Hwy 79.

Maps of the route, the assembly area, check in information and other necessary information will be
mailed to participants in late September.

By City Ordinance:
- All persons must be seated when any parade vehicle is in motion.

The throwing or distribution of materials by parade participants is prohibited, including but not limited to
candy, trinkets and handbills. - No obscene or discriminatory entries or materials will be allowed.

Absolutely NO alcoholic beverages allowed in or on any entry in the parade or line up area. (Please note the
assembly area is a public school campus and as such is an alcohol & drug free zone).
Floats:
- The floats should have some artistic ability displayed – not just crepe paper & balloons.
- Trailers/flatbeds may not be more than 16’ in length – to make the turns in Old Town\
- No one under 5 years old on floats
- Minimum one adult per five children age 5 – 8
- Minimum one adult per ten children age 9 and up

State law says no one under 18 may ride in the back of a pickup or on a flatbed trailer except in the parade
itself (not to and from parade). - Floats will be judged and prizes awarded. Prizes to be announced later.
Equestrian Units:
- Riders should be in costume (your choice) or uniform.
- Water for the horses will be available at the assembly area.
Vehicles:
- We reserve the right to limit the number of vehicle entries. Please submit a photo of your vehicle with entry.
- Antique, classic and true art cars will be given preference. A “classic car” is defined as 1970 or earlier.
- Antique tractors sort of define themselves.
